FROM ME TO YOU LETTERS
Inspiring people to write letters to those living with cancer.
When was the last time you wrote a letter? With From Me to You you can create connections & bring comfort to your friends, family or even complete strangers.
From Me to You exists because two people, founders Alison Hitchcock & Brian Greenley, despite being relative strangers found a new kind of connection & hope in the form of letters.
The letters became part of Brian’s recovery process, while Alison discovered a passion for writing she never knew existed.
Through letter writing workshops, the Donate A Letter programme, plus hints & tips on how to reach out to family & friends, the aim is to reduce the social isolation & loneliness so often associated with cancer.
The Donate A Letter campaign was created in response to many who didn’t personally know someone with cancer but wanted to write letters to support others.
Writers, from all over the world, send in letters which are distributed to those most in need. They work with hospitals, cancer centres & partner charities - also sending letters directly to people’s homes, which anyone can request whenever a boost is needed.
Brian is now cancer-free, Alison is a writer & the two have a relationship that only the term ‘best friends’ can describe. Alison & Brian are now dedicated to getting us all writing letters!

BRACRAFTS
Up-cycling bras locally to raise money for breast cancer charities
You can donate your bras at the TOTALLY UNIQUE event
Just drop bras into the special collection box & Bracrafts will do the rest.
In the UK 300,000+ tonnes of clothes are thrown away each year which is approximately 11 million items per week ending up in landfill! Bras are included in that figure as many charity shops can’t accept underwear.
Crafting with bras recycles them into new saleable items. The money from these sales is then donated to breast cancer research & support charities.
If a donated bra is unsuitable for crafting it’s forward on to Against Breast Cancer who get paid £700 per tonne of bras collected. This helps fund vital research to improve detection, treatment & increased survival after breast cancer diagnosis.
After retiring in 2023 Leicestershire woman Angela was inspired to create Bracrafts when she couldn’t find existing methods for donating or up-cycling unwanted bras.
As a passionate crafter she thought she’d have a go at making something herself, bras are only fabric & lace after all! She soon sold her first item for breast cancer charity, a cause close to her heart after having had a mastectomy in 2004.
She thought if she was having this much fun using her hobby to raise funds there might be other crafters out there who would join her, so Bracrafts was born!
Join in the fun, become a Bracrafter & help raise funds for breast cancer support & research. Lots of things that can be made with a bra – no limitations on imagination!
Visit the website for locations accepting bra donations & check out the Bra Fairies & other lovely items to buy.
